I'm studying Strategic Management at BYU's Marriott School of Business, a sophomore heading into the junior core and on track to graduate in April 2028, aiming for consulting and strategy work after that. Strategy is the part of business I find genuinely interesting: most visible problems are branches, and the useful work is tracing them back to the root.

I got a year of practice at that at The Player Sports Academy. I started as an assistant director, close enough to daily operations to feel exactly where the process was breaking — 102 programs, five directors, and 2,250 families whose questions all had to land somewhere. In my last few months there I moved to the data side and built the Power BI dashboards that showed the directors what was actually happening across 12,500+ registrations. Feeling where a process breaks and then measuring why are the same job from two ends, and doing both changed how I read an operation.

That's also why I build things on my own time. My main project is a local system that watches where my hours and attention actually go, triages what reaches me, and cuts the repetitive parts out of my week — all running on hardware I already own, under a hard constraint of costing nothing to operate. The constraint is the interesting part: it forces you to solve the problem rather than buy your way around it.

Outside of that: nine months as a full-time volunteer representative in Frankfurt and Northern Virginia, fluent German, long-distance running, and an original score for an animated short film last year. I record walkthroughs of what I build, because explaining something end to end is the fastest way to find out whether it actually holds up.
